Daniel Poliquin is an award-winning author whose books include The Secret Between Us, nominated for the Giller Prize, and In the Name of the Father: An Essay on Quebec Nationalism. Daniel Poliquin is now one of the few novelists well known in both languages in Canada. He’s also a respected political essayist and worked for years as a simultaneous translator in the House of Commons, which gave him long exposure to political debate in the country. He is also a noted literary translator, and a member of the Order of Canada. Poliquin lives in Ottawa.
